Should You Fight for Music Licensing?
You were recently signed to a music label, and you aren't sure how you got there. You just don't feel like you fit in there and you aren't sure what you can do to fix that. As a result, you need to take the time to assess the situation and ensure that you get the best results from your label.
First of all, you should visit the office when you can to learn more about the people who work there. You'll be surprised at how much you can learn about a label by merely meeting its employees. Then, you should listen to artists on the label to hear what kind of sound they are producing.
Changing your sound might not be the best idea if you don't fit in with your music label, but you should talk to them and see why they signed you in the first place. If they expect something out of you that you don't think that you can deliver, it may be time to seek out a new home for your music.
